How to Use

  1. Wash your hands before taking the test
  2. Dry them.
  3. Insert a test strip into the meter.
  4. Prick your finger and squeeze it for a few drops of blood.
  5. Place the blood drops on the colored part of the strip and wait.
  6. The meter will display your blood glucose level on a screen within a few seconds.


1. What is the shelf life of test strips?

Test strips last up to 2-3 years. You can refer to the packaging of the product.


2. When is the best time to check your blood sugar?

It is best to test blood sugar early in the morning before meals with a gap of 8 hours. If you have to check multiple times, then consult with a doctor.


3. What is the normal range of blood sugar level when tested?

Normal blood sugar level should be less than 100mg/dl (4-5.4mmol/L) before meals (fasting) with a time gap of 8 hours. And within 140 mg/dl (7.8mmol/L) 2 hours after eating.


4. What range of blood sugar level is considered dangerous when tested?

Blood sugar level below 70 mg/dL (3.9 mmol/L) is dangerous. Blood sugar level below 54 mg/dL (3.0 mmol/L) is a cause for immediate action.


5. Can you use test strips past their expiration date?

Using expired products is never recommended. The strips might be too old and the results may not be accurate. It is always better to use valid test strips to get the most accurate result.
