  • Simvastatin- Major


Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are used together, there may be an increase in the effectiveness of simvastatin and may result in an increase in the side effects related to the liver gives liver damage and kidneys damage like rhabdomyolysis that may cause death.   • Theophylline-Major

Alcohol interactions:

Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while receiving/taking this medicine as it may cause interactions and lead to serious adverse effects and may worsen the health condition.

  1. This medicine may be taken, with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole.
  2. Care must be taken when this medicine is used in liver compromised patients and elderly patients.
  3. This medicine is not recommended to use in children less than 18 years as safety and efficacy are not clinically established.
  4. Patients who are already known to diabetes should be monitored carefully as there may be a chance of tachycardia (increased rate of heartbeat) with hypoglycemia (lowering of sugar levels)
  5. Seek emergency medical help if you experience any of the side effects like Dizziness, Light-headedness, fainting, etc.
  6. It is recommended to avoid driving or using heavy machinery immediately after consuming this medicine.


Missed dose instructions:

Take this medicine as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose skip the dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double dose to make up for the missed dose.
