  • Lighting is an important factor when it comes to preventing eye fatigue. Too bright light or dull lights too can cause strain.
  • If there is excess outdoor lighting, you can minimize it by drawing curtains or installing blinds
  • If the interior lighting is too harsh, you can use fewer light bulbs or low intensity bulbs
  • Avoid working under bright fluorescent lights
  • Dim your lights while watching TV. This will help reduce eyestrain
  • Adjust the brightness of your computer/laptop and mobile screens so that it is not too bright or dull. You can also manage the font text and size to suit your comfort
  • While working on something intensely, make sure the light is coming from behind and not directly hitting your eye

  • Just like the warm compress, you can try the cold-water compress. Cold water improves blood circulation, hence reducing puffiness and fatigue.
  • Aloe Vera gel can be applied on to strained eyelids. It’s natural healing & soothing properties will help reduce eye strain.
  • Try eye massage. Gently massage the eyelids, under-eyes, temples and muscles above the eyebrows. This not only increases blood circulation but also stimulates the tear glands, preventing dry and itchy eyes.
