A common year-round problem, feet odour is caused mainly because of sweat accumulating in the feet. The bacteria that grows, when mixed with sweat, leads to foul feet odour.

Home Remedies For Foot Odour
You do not really have to dig a hole in your pocket to maintain your foot hygiene or banish stinky feet condition. You can simply turn to your kitchen for treating it. So, here we share some common home remedies that can help you get rid of foot odour with simple things that are available in your kitchen.
1. Baking Soda
Dust your shoes, feet and socks with baking soda. You can also soak your feet in warm water with baking soda in it to get rid of the moisture.
2. Epsom Salt
Known for its antibacterial qualities, this salt helps remove moisture from the skin and keeps your feet dry. You can soak your feet in half a bucket of water with two teaspoons of Epsom salt to remove moisture.
3. Kosher Salt
Acting as a preventive shield against bacterial growth, Kosher salt is known to keep foot stink at bay. Just add about half a cup of salt to a litre of warm water and soak your feet in it. So that the kosher salt remains on your feet, don’t rinse them after soaking.
4. Black Tea
The antibacterial qualities of black tea gives effective results in managing foot odour. Just soak two tea bags in boiling water and mix with half a bucket of tap water; soak your feet for about 20 minutes every day.
The acidic nature of vinegar makes it hard for bacteria to grow and thus, eliminates the smell from the feet. Though ACV happens to be the best choice, but any normal vinegar also works. Mix vinegar in warm water (ratio 1:8 – 1 cup of vinegar, 8 cups of water) and soak your feet in it for about 15 minutes. After that, you can rinse your feet with soap and water.
6. Lavender Oil
Antibacterial and antifungal properties of lavender oil is an effective home treatment for smelly feet. Just dip your feet in warm water with a few drops of this oil so as to keep your feet smelling fresh.
7. Talcum Powder
One of the most common home remedies for stinky feet is talcum powder. Using it on your feet and in your shoes and socks can keep your feet dry, fresh and free of odour.
Note: Adding powder on wet feet can make things worse.
