How this medicine works:
Folic acid is an essential vitamin that plays role in the synthesis of essential blood cells like platelets, WBC and production of coenzymes in various metabolic processes like purine and pyrimidine synthesis.

Pregnancy warning:
Category A- Adequate and well-controlled studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in the first trimester of pregnancy (and there is no evidence of risk in later trimesters).
Lactation warning:
Use of this medicine is not recommended for lactating and breastfeeding mothers unless absolutely necessary. Inform your doctor about the use of this medicine. All the risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.
