What is this used for:

  • Nausea or vomiting

When to not take this medicine:

  • If you are hypersensitive (allergic) to domperidone or any of the other ingredients present along with it. 
  • Disease or tumour of the pituitary gland
  • Severe abdominal cramps or pain
  • Persistent black stools or blood in the stool 
  • Liver disease or liver failure
  • Irregular heart beat
  • Cardiovascular diseases
  • Low serum potassium and magnesium

 

How should i take the medicine:

Take this medicine with an adequate amount of water as directed by the physician. Do not take this medicine in small or larger amounts than recommended.

 

How this medicine works:

It works by increasing the movement of food through the stomach and the digestive tract more quickly reducing the feeling of bloating, fullness and indigestion. It also works by blocking the action of a chemical in your brain which causes the feeling of nausea and vomiting.
