Take this medicine with an adequate amount of water as directed by the physician. Do not take this medicine in small or larger amounts than recommended.

Drug interactions:


Acetazolamide- Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together, may interfere with blood glucose control and reduce the effectiveness of SITagliptin and other diabetic medicationIf you experience any signs of uneasiness then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Benazepril- Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together may cause angioedema, a condition associated with swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat, and occasionally also the hands and feet. If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, hunger, tremor, weakness, sweating, and fast or pounding heartbeats then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Bexarotene- Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together may increase the risk of pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas. If you experience any signs and symptoms like persistent nausea, vomiting, abdominal tenderness, and upper abdominal pain, especially that which is made worse after eating or radiates to the back then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Chlorotrianisene- Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. The use of these medicines are contraindicated since they may give serious adverse reactions which may lead to coma or death. Suitable alternatives may be considered based on the condition of the patient.


Gatifloxacin- Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together can affect blood glucose levels and should not be used in patients with diabetes. If you experience any signs of discomfort then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Liotrix- Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together may interfere with blood glucose control and reduce the effectiveness of SITagliptin and other diabetic medications. If you experience any signs of pain and discomfort then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.

 

Alcohol interactions:

Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while receiving/taking this medicine as it may cause interactions and lead to serious adverse effects and may worsen the health condition.
