What is this used for:

When to not take this medicine:

  • Hypersensitivity or allergy towards Nebivolol or S-amlodipine
  • Lower heart rate (Bradycardia)
  • Heart block increased than the first degree
  • Cardiogenic shock
  • Cardiac failure
  • Liver failure
  • Sick sinus syndrome (Heart rhythm problems due to the dysfunction of sinus node)

 

How should I take the medicine:

Take this medicine with an adequate amount of water as directed by the physician. Do not take this medicine in small or larger amounts than recommended.

 

How this medicine works:

This medicine lowers the blood pressure by acting on the muscles of the heart to reduce the heart rate and increase the blood circulation

Drug interactions:

Aminophylline- Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are taken or used together, it may increase the effects of aminophylline and decrease the efficacy of nebivolol. If you experience any signs and symptoms like insomnia, vomiting, nausea, arrhythmia, tremors, irregular heartbeat then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Clonidine- Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are taken or used together, it may cause very low blood pressure and a slow heart rate. If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, headache, arrhythmia, irregular heartbeat then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition


Digoxin-Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are taken or used together, it may cause very low blood pressure and a slow heart rate and increase the incidence of serious side effects. If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, headache, arrhythmia, irregular heartbeat then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition


Diltiazem-Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are taken or used together, it may give some serious adverse effects. It may cause headaches, fatigue, swelling of the extremities, fainting, gain in weight, shortness of breath, pain in the chest, irregular heartbeat. If you experience any unusual signs and symptoms, then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Alprazolam-Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are taken or used together, it may give some serious adverse effects. It may cause headaches, fatigue, swelling of the extremities, fainting, gain in weight, shortness of breath, pain in the chest, irregular heartbeat. If you experience any unusual signs and symptoms, then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


Diclofenac-Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicine. When these medicines are taken or used together regularly, it may reduce the effectiveness of this medicine. Inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition

 

Alcohol interactions:

Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while receiving/taking this medicine as it may cause interactions and lead to serious adverse effects and may worsen the health condition.

  1. This medicine may be taken with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole.
  2. This medicine is to be taken at the same time of the day. Follow the missed dose instructions in case if you miss a dose.

  4. Seek emergency medical help if you experience any of the side effects like Dizziness, Light-headedness, fainting, etc.

Missed dose instructions:
