When to not take this medicine:

Allergic to Amisulpride

Signs of an allergic reaction may include a skin rash, itching, shortness of breath or swelling of the face, lips or tongue. 

 

How should i take the medicine:

Take this medicine with an adequate amount of water as directed by the physician. Do not take this medicine in small or larger amounts than recommended.

 

How this medicine works:

Helps ease the symptoms of depression and schizoaffective disorders by blocking the dopamine D2 receptor.

Drug interactions:


  • Abarelix - Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together, they can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a relatively rare side effect. If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


  • Abiraterone - Major

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together, they can increase the risk of an irregular heart rhythm that may be serious and potentially life-threatening, although it is a relatively rare side effect. If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition.


  •  Acebutolol - Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together, can occasionally cause slowing of the heart rate or other irregular heart rhythm, and combining it with medications like acebutolol may increase that risk.  If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition. 

 

  • Castor Oil - Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together, they can increase if you have low blood levels of magnesium or potassium, which can occur with bowel cleansing preparations or excessive use of medications that have a laxative effect.  If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition. 


  • Lactulose - Moderate

Inform your doctor about the use of either medicines. When these medicines are taken or used together, can occasionally cause slowing of the heart rate or other irregular heart rhythm, and combining it with medications like acebutolol may increase that risk.  If you experience any signs and symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, shortness of breath then inform the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments may be done, or suitable alternate medicine may be considered based on the condition. 

 

Alcohol interactions:

Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while receiving/taking this medicine as it may cause interactions and lead to serious adverse effects and may worsen the health condition

  • Keep it where children cannot reach it.
